Hi Guys 🙂
Me and my fantastic Fiance Hans are so ECSTATIC to see we have two large fruits forming on two of our Epiphytic cactus plants this week. This is a result of us cross pollinating two of our Epiphyllum hybrids only two weeks ago and we are so happy to see that the cross pollination has been a 100 % success with both of the plants and that fruit is forming already so fast 🙂 ( see photos below )
It is going to be AMAZING for us to sow these seeds when the fruits are ready for harvesting but we know that the fruit can take many months even a whole year or possibly even longer for them to fully develop so the seeds can be harvested.
Me and Hans are so happy to think we have created our own ‘hybrid’ by crossing them both sooooo EXCITING, and only time will tell over the years ( at least 4-5 ) before the hybrids seedlings that are produced by crossing these two will reveal their flower colours 🙂
Here is the update video that I have made for my You tube channel Desert Plants of Avalon of these fruit pods and you can watch this video below :
If you didn’t see the original video that I made for my You Tube channel Desert Plants of Avalon when I cross pollinated these two beauties here is the video below :
Here is also a video that I made for my You Tube Channel Desert Plants of Avalon of these two beauties when they were both in flower and flowered on the same day and also at EXACTLY the same time 🙂 YES these two plants wanted to have plant plant sex with each other haha 🙂
Thanks so much for reading guys and I will make regular updates on the fruits and how they grow and also when the fruits are ready to harvest for the seeds 🙂
