Feeding/ fertilizing your cacti and succulents

When it comes to feeding your cacti and succulents there are a number of different cactus fertilizers on the market, and please note I am not affiliated with any of these products that I recommend, you can use any similar product, but I use these because they work and they are also Vegan.

Many different growers will have their own favourites, but I have had very good results by using a Tomato feed fertilizer at half strength.

maxicrop organic tomatofeedI personally like to use Maxicrop organic natural tomato fertilizer with added seaweed extract, this product as well as the other products in their Organic Natural Fertilizer range, is Vegan friendly which is better for the animals and the environment..

The Maxicrop Natural Fertilizer range is made from plant extracts and seaweed – no animal products are used  and I have noticed a massive difference in their flowering as well as the plants overall health, and I haven’t had any cacti or succulents produce any tomatoes yet haha! in saying that though I did have a Lemon tree that produced oranges, see video here.

I use the tomato feed at half strength to the recommended dose on the bottle for tomatoes and use it with every third watering that I give to the cacti and most of the succulents during the Spring and Summer.
